Sustainable Community Building
First and foremost the Sat Yoga Ashram is a community for human transformation, a community of souls deeply committed to their spiritual search, for achieving mastery over the mind through meditation and the dissolution of the lower egoic compulsions that cause havoc individually and collectively. Sat Yoga is a university for higher spiritual wisdom, a mystery school, that endeavors to live the Perennial Philosophy. No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it. -- A. Einstein Congruent in this effort, the community seeks to attract spiritually keen professionals and skilled workers of all kinds. Architects, builders, engineers, nurses, dentists, teachers, farmers, artists, musicians, and others are all needed to make the project float. The Sat Yoga Ashram is a center for research. Opportunities abound for creative souls with experience in permaculture, the development of clean energy, and more. |
Support Sat Yoga´s Eco-Village
Thank you for your interest in supporting Sat Yoga's project of creating a model community, offering a healthful, loving, and sustainable approach to planetary co-existence. If you would like to know more about us and our philosophy, we encourage you to visit the Sat Yoga Institute website: www.satyogainstitute.org.
If you wish to support our vision with a financial donation, please email us and we will gratefully send you the necessary information.
If you would like to support Sat Yoga through a non-traditional funding arrangement, then please write to our Eco-Village Staff and tell us about yourself and the arrangements that would interest you.
Naturally the Internet and e-mail are no substitutes for a personal visit. If at all possible, we encourage everyone interested in the Sat Yoga Ashram and Eco-Village to join us for a week-long retreat, meet with us personally and of course, bathe in the river, work with our bees and sit in silent meditation in our forest.

If you are basically content with life and believe that everything is fine, Sat Yoga will probably make no sense. If you are to some degree aware of the immanent and profound crises we're facing, but maintain that some Other -- Science, the political establishment, or The Market -- will lead the way with solutions, as presumably they always have, we won't try to dissuade you. If you're a survivalist and stocking up on seeds and insulating your home, you may be partially right but missing key pieces of the puzzle.
